MATRIX organises different types of educational activities, mostly custom-made or on demand of concert organisers, festival, music schools etc. This webpage gives an overview of some recent or annual projects.

• MATRIX annually organizes some free activities surrounding the Novecento concert series of the Festival Van Vlaanderen Vlaams-Brabant.

• Since 2003, MATRIX annually develops a large-scale project at the request of TRANSIT, the new music festival of Festival van Vlaanderen Vlaams-Brabant. For this project, we commission a new composition and we collaborate with professional musicians and/or composers who then guide a group of youngsters in interpreting, rehearsing and finally performing the piece. 

• Since 2011, MATRIX and Nadar ensemble for contemporary music Nadar organize the annual Nadar Summer Academy. This is a six-day workshop in the last week of August during which the musicians of Nadar guide young musicians (14-20) through the exciting world of new music.

• On October 25th 2012, MATRIX organized an international conference on new music education, entitled "New Ears".
