Reading room
Visitors of the MATRIX documentation centre are welcome to browse through our collection of specialist literature, read scores, watch DVDs or listen to audio recordings in our spacious reading room. There are seven permanent workstations. Admission is free.
The documentation centre holds more than 24.000 scores and 13.000 audio recordings of both Belgian and international composers. The majority of this valuable collection is preserved in a closed depository but can be requested through our online catalog or our librarians.
Apart from the depository with scores, CDs and DVDs, the documentation centre also holds an extensive reference library, where more than 600 books on composers of new music and related topics, specialized journals and most of the relevant reference works in this domain can be consulted freely.
The trained staff members in our reading room are permanently available for your questions on new music and new music material.
